Glass is among the world’s most versatile and impactful materials. Your Ennion support of Museum Programs, Collections, and Exhibitions, ensures The Museum’s renowned collections and exhibitions reach communities near and far, in person and online, with opportunities to learn and explore the magnificence of glass.
Exhibitions and Collections
The world's most comprehensive and celebrated collection of glass, from Ancient Egypt to present-day contemporary glass art. The care, conservation, and interpretation of our collections is an ongoing pursuit that culminates in both beautiful and captivating permanent and changing exhibits.
Educational Programming at the Museum is at the heart of our mission. Hot Glass Demos bring an exciting interactive element to the Museum all day, every day. Included in the cost of admission, these demos are often a visitor’s first opportunity to see master glassmakers take glowing gobs of molten glass and skillfully shape them into memorable objects.
Providing resources to local educators, the Museum’s Education Department interprets the history and artistry of collections for the young mind. With Little Gather (a free summer program), little ones are introduced to the Museum through storytelling, puppet shows, magic, music, and lots of fun! The CMoG Challenge offers teens the opportunity to learn about the science of glass, while Teen Leadership Council and Junior Curators create an opportunity for local youth to become more involved with the Museum and launch their own exhibit.
